Tiffany Vicencio,
LMFT

One of the clinicians who helped me take my life back.

In 2018, I worked with Tiffany during intensive OCD treatment at Gateway. That experience helped me take my life back—and became part of the reason I created Disorder Destroyers.

Tiffany is an OCD & Anxiety Specialist at The OCD Treatment Center. Her background includes OCD treatment training at UCLA and a master’s degree in Clinical Psychology from Pepperdine University. She meets with clients virtually.

Research & resources

International OCD Foundation

OCD is highly treatable—but getting the right help can be surprisingly difficult.

Research from the International OCD Foundation found that only about 2% of identified OCD patients had documented evidence of receiving ERP, the gold-standard behavioral treatment, while more than 72% weren’t even referred for evidence-based ERP or CBT.

That gap can cost people years. The IOCDF reports an average of roughly 7 years from symptom onset to proper diagnosis and effective treatment, with older estimates reaching 14–17 years.

Disorder Destroyers helps close the gap between knowing what to do and actually doing it—through lived-experience coaching, accountability, and practical support that reinforces the work you’re already doing in treatment.

I know the exhaustion

Another check.
Another question.
Another lost hour.

There were nights I spent hours beside my parked car checking the doors, windows, and parking brake. Getting home didn’t mean my day was over.

That was part of my 30-year battle with OCD. If that kind of loop feels familiar, I want you to know there’s a person here who gets it.

Checking

“Just one more time.”

The door. The alarm. The parking brake. The check that keeps becoming another check.

Rumination

The question that won’t quit.

Replaying, analyzing, and trying to think your way to a certainty that never feels like enough.

Contamination

When ordinary life gets smaller.

The fears and routines that take time and attention away from the things you care about.

Just right

Waiting for the right feeling.

Repeating something until it feels right, even when you want to move on.

How we work together

Our meaningful-progress guarantee

Do the work. Use the tools.
Meaningful progress or your money back.

If you do the work, you should see meaningful progress.

Show up consistently, use the tools we build together, and make a good-faith effort to complete the work we agree on.

If you do that and still feel you’ve made no meaningful progress by the end of the program, tell me. I’ll review the work with you, and if the coaching didn’t deliver what I promised, I’ll refund you 100%.

What meaningful progress can look like

  • Better understanding of your cycle
  • Increased ability to resist compulsions
  • More willingness to tolerate uncertainty
  • Greater confidence applying tools independently
  • Clearer next steps and stronger self-leadership

Do the work. Use the tools. If you make no meaningful progress, you don’t pay.

We agree on your program’s length, goals, and the work we’ll review before coaching begins.

Janai Henderson

Working with Alex has taught me a great deal of things, before working with Alex I had no idea I had OCD.

Within only a month I knew things it usually takes years to learn and accomplish.

But thanks to him I was able to understand my OCD and fight back so I can finally get my life back.

10 long years of not knowing and now I’m doing all the work and using all the tools he’s given me so I will no longer be consumed by OCD.

Common questions

Before you
reach out.

You deserve to know what you’re signing up for.

Ask Alex a question
Is coaching the same as therapy?

Disorder Destroyers provides coaching and educational content, not clinical treatment or crisis care. My role is lived-experience support, accountability, and helping you put recovery-oriented actions into daily practice. Diagnosis and clinical treatment belong with a qualified licensed professional.

Can I work with you while I’m in therapy?

Yes. Coaching is designed to complement appropriate professional treatment and support the work you’re doing between sessions. We’ll discuss how coaching can fit around your existing plan during the free call.

What if I still need to find a therapist?

If you still need to find a therapist, I will help you find the right match that specializes in OCD, anxiety, and cognitive behavioral therapy techniques (CBT and ERP).

How do I choose a package?

Start with the free 60-minute call. We’ll discuss what you want support with and whether a one-off intensive, weekly coaching, or more frequent support makes sense for you.

Start with a conversation

You don’t have to do this alone.

Let’s talk about where you are, what you need, and whether coaching is the right next step. No pressure. Just a real conversation.
